What accreditation takes

  • Exchanging data by the standards the Ministry adopted
  • Meeting the technical and security requirements

Accreditation journey

Six stages, from registering the vendor to the accreditation certificate.

1

Registration

The authorised signatory of the vendor sends the data of the vendor and his own as the commercial registration states them, and the Ministry reviews them. Once the registration is approved, his account is opened and he is told by e-mail.

Certificate

A certificate for each system in its version.

Certificate

What the vendor receives

One requirements package, in a stated version, for every vendor.

Requirements package

The guides and forms that accreditation asks for, in Arabic and English. They open to the vendor once its registration is approved.

Sandbox

Testing the connection with test data before the live connection to the national health record.

Follow-up by the Ministry

A review at every stage, and written notes when a correction is asked for.

Accreditation certificate

A certificate for each system in its version, verified by scanning the QR code printed on it.

Principles of the programme

The same requirements for all

Every vendor and system meets the same requirements. The order of joining only sets the priority of follow-up.

Published standards

Every requirement states its legal basis, how it is verified and the evidence asked for.

Data inside Oman

Health data and its backups are stored inside Oman.

Personal data protection

The sandbox takes synthetic data only. No data of real patients is sent to it.
